Le Cargo sessions

This was a lot of fun,  Maeva le Berre and meself rock up to a rehearsal room in Paris on a cold december morn and start figuring out songs for the show later on that night. The guys from legargo.org came along and documented it.  Maeva is awesome to play with hilarious to tour with.  Me voice is a bit scratchy but that’s coz its 11 in the morn and me voice is better later…ahh shutup for fuck sake declan and let them watch the flicks.

i need to know the history of the song leaves in the autumn….i just love your performance at the cargo sessions…muchas gracias por tu entrega y tu poesía….

p.d: i´m from Uruguay a small country between argentina and brasil….
tell me the truth…. do you really drink yerba mate? :D

    • Mmmm the history of songs…well I am trying not to be explicit in telling the story of each song as they appear when i write them because sometimes it ruins the image the listener has when they hear it. Whatever images or stories are conjured up in the listeners head are special and i don’t want to destroy them. All i will say is it is set in the mountains that i saw from my window every day when i grew up.

I hope to visit Uruguay next year. Yep i drink santa cruz yerba mate…awesome.
      hasta luego…

ok…the truth is that i thaugt it was a traditional song of irland…of course you donn´t have to explain anithing…i heard the song in a moment very especial to me, a that time i just finished to read a haiku that said:

when the autumn wind is blowing, not a single leave continue to be the same

    (uf…sorry ….my english is terrible…..):P

te espero el año que viene con unos ricos mates…see you soon…:)
