Posted in Uncategorized on December 7, 2008 by declandebarraThis was Achill island on one of the coldest surf trips of my life…we got snowed and hailed on while surfing. We lasted about 4 hours in the water. The sheep mafia run this island.
Just returned from surfing Cork and Kerry, ice cold freezing fog on the way home. Magical. Have been surfing with seals most times on the last few trips…they pop up and look at you like you are the ugliest seal they have ever seen. Blagged our way into a taping of “Other Voices” in St James Church in an Daingean (dingle). Emiliana Torrini played…i have been trying to see her play with years. An Irish band called the halves were very good too. A good weekend…yes.
Today i am making little videos of my guitar parts and emailing them to guitarist in France. Putting together a little band. Have bought a harmonium in India and I can’t wait to pick it up in January and start writing songs with it.
Really sorry to hear Pinnacle distribution has closed down, they supported so many cool indie labels around the world.
hope everyone is warm and well…
