Notes from a Parisian couch

It’s monday, i’m in the office my french agent using their wifi and drinking their coffee. Today i hit the Louvre and now i’m visually exhausted. I was mentally exhausted bfore i got there. In short, Mona lisa overrated, mesopotanian collection awesome, vermeer, de goya, delacroix all knocked me socks off. Eygpytian collection reminded me that all this shit has been stolen and should be returned.

The last bunch of shows have been insane. I will fill you in. I caught a train to the base of the alps in Annemasse the show was cool, the next day drove through mont blanc tunnel in the Alps to Italy and back into french alps and down to  Nice.  nice traffic is insane.  I hung out  at Aaron show as i wasn’t playing that night. I hung out in the front row and kept trying to make them laugh and fuck up. They laughed but didn’t fuck up. True professionals. We stayed in some ridiculous boutique hotel i could never afford and would never waste the money on.  The roof top pool and techno breakfast room and Hammam made me laugh a lot.  The next day we headed north of Nice for 4 hours through more awesome countryside to Chateau Arnoux. I played well and tried some new songs. I had to split straight after i played and thanks to Laurent for driving me back to Nice airport. I hung out for an hour at nice airport and tried to sleep. at 6am i flew to amsterdam where i met Floris my cellist and we got on a plane to Lisbon portugal where we played a show in Portalegre. I snuck an hours sleep before the show. I am now like a zombie. I play at 12 for 1.5hrs and my throat hates me for lack of sleep playing late. We finish the show and i sleep for the two hours back to lisbon where i catch a plane back to Paris. On arrival i get questioned by police and i am too tired to give a fuck. A cell would mean a bed. I arrive back to the office where i am staying and fall asleep for most of the day and night.

  3. Hello ! I just wanted to say that I was stunned by your show in Annemasse and I bought your album immediately…I was also very pleased to understand everything you told us about….first time in my live that I ever understand an Irish accent :) (but I read that you lived in Australia so I guess that explains it !!)Anyway I also thought you were very funny, I think you even may have a career !! :D
As for the songs you performed, let me just say : wow ! The first one, a capella, was really impressive and I think everyone there was catching their breath ! It’s really rare when you instantly like the melody, as if you had already listened for the song a thousand times while it’s in fact the first time you hear it ! Only happens with music that comes from the soul and with very charismatic singer ! So thanks a lot for that magical moment and come back soon ! Best wishes !

  4. thanks for the kind words, i look forward to getting back to play for ye again
