Piano…The final frontier
I am pretty much in front of a piano every day trying to get some muscle memory happening for some songs I have to play live in a few weeks. I have never played piano live before and there is a big difference between coming up with ideas and performing a song. Hopefully i can pull it off ok. I head to France in a few weeks to rehearse with a french cellist for the tour in November. I’m really looking forward to it. My French should get a good workout, my mistakes are always entertaining.
I have had my eye off the ball with other things and have realised i will run out of cds to sell mid tour.
I’m also practising some of the new songs from the next album for tour. It is really exciting to have a new and large set to pick and chose songs from. It means i can pick songs according to how I’m feeling that night. I don’t like the idea of “photocopy songs” where i just go and play them. I want to relate to the song and live it when i sing it. Otherwise i couldn’t do it every night. It would be like performing in a circus act.
At night I’m writing a short film in Irish and trying to get some funding.
I hope everyone is doing well…
Go have a treat…you deserve it.

Hey, Declan!
. So the deal is I’ll try to get to Lyon and back hitchhiking, should take a week or so. Yea, this might not be very interesting, but still wanted to let you know the things you share through your music help me figure things out. Helps me to shut out my mind, observe it from the outside and try to breathe present through the deep inner feeling of THINGS EXIST. I’m ranting, I know. Hope to see you.
Just found out you’re gonna be playing in France, exactly then I knew I have to be there. I’m from Latvia, and me and my friends really love your music, also Clann ZĂș. I sing along to your songs out loud when riding my bike with headphones. That way I can’t hear how awful it actually sounds

Unfortunately, I am in the town you keep avoiding
– Dublin.

Ok i will try and organise a show for January. Dublin is difficult, i have an ideological problem with the venues there as you have to pay to play which i rage against. So i will try and organise an alternative venue. I have a plan to do a tour of Ireland avoiding every known venue that charges to play. If you are in dublin you should be able to buy a copy at celtic note on Nassau street.

But, please, after the 6th of Janury
.
Is there something what is for free in Dublin?!?!
Yes, there is… Water….That’s why I am wondering about the quality…
I can check if they got it on Nassau street. I bought the last one there last spring and they told me they wouldn’t be getting them anymore.
