shut up and sing

Just saw the movie shut up and sing about the Dixie chicks and the hassle death threats etc they received for saying what they believed about Bush. I can’t say i’m a fan of their music but i am a fan of their spirit. It’s nice to see people still exist like that. Reminds me of my favourite sign during the anti war protests in Dublin before the invasion of Iraq. “Where the fuck are you now Bono?” That and “Down with this sort of thing!” (you have to be a father ted fan to get that…what are you waiting for…go hire the entire father ted series.)
