Ken Saro Wiwa
Today is the 11th anniversary of the execution of Ken Saro-Wiwa. A brilliant writer, he along with eight other activists, were executed for organising non violent protests against Shell Oil Company who were destroying the Ongoni peoples land. Today the Irish Gardaí (police) baton charged 200 protesters in the west of Ireland blockading the construction of the Shell Gas pipeline. If you want to read more you can find information here http://www.remembersarowiwa.com/ http://www.corribsos.com/ Please boycott Shell. They really don’t care what people think, Cash is the only weapon to make them think.

Did You hear what happend in Poland? In explosion of methan in a coal mine 8 people dead…Supposedly board of management the mine knew that it dangerous. And the miners knew it too. In spite of it they went for work under ground. They feared oppose, becouse they could lose a job. Devoted human life for saving expensive mining equipment. That idiotic austerity. Always the same bullshit when it comes to so-called ethical oil companies. Total Oil claim that the Yadana gas line was a ‘project benefiting Myanmar and Thailand.’ See footage of locals being used as human landmine detectors to clear large areas of oil bearing land, the genocide of indigenous communities and other heinous crimes committed by pipeline security forces. Apparently pumping millions in foreign investment into Burma is really going to benefit the Burmese people and not serve the needs of its fucked up regime. If you fill up your car at Total you’re allowing this to continue.
